Dear cute little she shed, where have you been all my life and why are you not in my backyard already?
Looking for gorgeous she shed ideas? These 9 beautiful sheds are just the inspiration you need to create your own perfect backyard escape. Just imagine having somewhere like this to get away from it all? She sheds are a perfect extension to any home and an ideal way to create a peaceful haven to craft, garden or just relax with a cup of tea or a glass of wine. No kids playing Xbox, wrestling on the couch or kicking a soccer ball in the kitchen! Nope, just pure peace and quiet. Yes please!
I’m not ready to add this to the ever growing “to-do” list quite yet, but one day, I shall have my very own she shed. In the mean time, I’ve pulled together an inspiring collection of 9 gorgeous “she sheds” for the perfect backyard escape. Enjoy!
#1 Quaint & Simple
No complicated design plans required for this one! The structure is simple but the extra touches are what make this the quaint and friendly little “she shed” it is. I love the cedar shingles and the shutters on either side of the window. The glass pane, double front doors add so much character and allow all kinds of natural sunlight to stream in. Any artist would be in heaven working away inside this beauty. And the walk way leading up to it? Need I say any more?
#2 Rustic & Charming
I love the rustic feel of this one and how simply they created this illusion of a wrap-around-porch. Add in some beautiful greenery like this and you have a cozy and inviting space.
#3 Woodsy & Peaceful
This is so sweet it could easily pass for a simple little cottage in the woods. The barn board structure, the wood frame windows and the adorable flower boxes on the windows all work together to create a gorgeous little “she shed”. I’m pretty confident that Little Red Riding Hood and her grandma live right here 🙂
#4 Victorian
Imagine this for a “she shed”! This could just as easily be a tiny house. The fine details throughout make this as feminine and girly as can be.
#5 Colonial
Clean lines, stone skirting and barn style doors make this little lady the gem she is. Not to mention the size! I’m thinking this is more of a guest house or work shop. What I wouldn’t do for something just like it! I would loved to have seen it with board and batten above the stone skirting, rather than the white siding but either way, there’s no denying the charm in this one.
# 6 Cottage Style
Far more than a simple She Shed idea, this little beauty has a bunkie up top. Something like this would be a super idea for any cottage owners looking for a little more space. If you’ve got the land, why not add one of these so friends and families visiting could have their own little space outside of the main cottage. It’s perfect for a restful and relaxing sleep in the country.
# 7 Hobbit Style 🙂
Check out this cute little hut. It reminds me of a Hobbit house from Lord of the Rings. In fact, it’s actually a gorgeous little chicken coop designed by Joanna Gaines. Can you imagine? Even her chickens get a beautiful space to live in! Now this one might be for chickens but add a few windows and you’ve got a great she shed idea and a beautiful backyard retreat with tons of character.
# 8 British Colonial
Joanna Gaines wins again with this gorgeous “She Shed”. This is probably nicer inside than my home will ever be. It reminds me of something you would see nestled within a British countryside estate. All it’s missing is a thatched roof!
# 9 Rustic Farmhouse
Construction wise, I love the simplicity of this little darling. It’s design is simple and straightforward yet it screams character! The rose bush growing across the front and the adorable little porch is a touch that gives it a perfect rustic farmhouse feel.
Looking for more great she shed ideas?
Check out Ella Claire or Flower Patch Farmhouse for the beautiful little she sheds they built. Another super creative but different spin on the she shed idea was Colleen’s hot cocoa bar from Life on Kaydeross Creek. I absolutely love Colleen’s idea especially for anyone living in the country. What a way to enjoy a cozy fire! Feeling more of a coastal vibe? You have to check out what Danielle built at Finding Silver Pennies. These ladies are all so talented!
So that’s it for now. Hope you loved these 9 “she shed” ideas as much as I did. I think these gems would look great in any backyard and I would be thrilled to have anyone of them! What about you guys? Do you have a “she shed”? Leave a comment and post a pic and I’d be happy to feature them in a future update of this post!
